SEPTEMBER

Febe gave birth to 4 puppies, 2 boys and 2 girls. Thank you Kay for the many updates with webcam, pics and videos :-)

Sept. 25th, NL Ch Inkies Prince Charming and grandson Heads N' Tails Heaven Help Me went to the Championship Clubmatch of Papillon & Phalène Club Nederland. The judge was mr J. Schepers (NL). Prince was shown in Veterans class, got 1st place, Excellent, Best Veteran in Show. It was Halo's very first show, he won his Youth class with 1 Exc. Together they were also 2nd in Brace class.

AUGUST

As of August the 5th, DJ Ch. Heads N' Tails Full Moon Febe added a new title to her name: she is now a Canadian Champion!

Kudos to Febe's co-owner Kay Reid who handled her to her title, I'm so proud of you both.

Teddy (Heads N' Tails Honeybear) came to stay for a month while his family was on vacation. What a blast it was to have him around again, he's so sweet and playful and full of nonsense. The lawn in the backyard is back to the state of when Teddy and his brother Halo were little pups, gosh I hadn't realised how I missed tripping into holes, haha. After the sad passing away of Teddy's elderly Cairn Terrier girlfriend Isis, it was decided that Teddy should get a new friend. He and his uncle Floyd had been getting along so well that on the family's return, Floyd too went home with them. Thank you Lorrie, Mallory and Justin (and your dad too!), for giving my boys a perfect life.

JULY

Starting an update in July is way overdue, but better late than never. A lot has happened since the end of last year. The end of marriage has resulted in some major changes and decisions. With a heavy heart I have found new homes for some of the furkids who were part of my life for years.

Nixe                      Casimir

Zilvia                       Raiya

Thanks to Kitty Sjong, my dear Nixe is now living with mrs Ellen Skibsted in Denmark (and Norway too), leading the life of a princess. The emails telling about Nixe's solo-adventures gave me some heartstopping moments, but hopefully she's staying close to home from now on.

When I visited Casimir and his small harem in May, it was obvious he's ever so happy and in the perfect home with Wim & Rie de Vos (kennel Van de Maarsas, NL) and their Papillon girls.

Sweet silly Zilvia went back to her breeder & co-owner Kitty Sjong. She is currently being shown in Norway and close to her title there. I miss her crazy wild and funny ways very much.

Raiya moved in with friends here in Rheine, Uli & Maja, and their senior Yorkie, Biene. She's totally pleased with her new life and so am I because I get to see her very often.

Only days before her 11th birthday in January, Pippi was diagnosed with cancer. The day she was put to sleep in my arms, when I came home from the vet there was a card in the mail telling that her previous owner mrs Rietveld had passed away. That happened the evening Pippi's tumors were discovered. These two loved eachother endlessly, sadly mrs Rietveld got ill a few years ago and couldn't take care of Pippi anymore, so Pippi came back to me. It's a nice thought that they are reunited again.

This big smile is part of a very special girl, Febe. She's my 3rd generation homebred, German Junior Champion, 1 CAC in Holland, 2 CAC's in Germany, and now well on her way to the Canadian title.

Her new mom Kay Reid (Truluv Papillons in BC, Canada) is every bit as special too.

Heads N' Tails Gotta Dance, aka Fred, gladly gave up previous show ambitions and in June he moved from Washington State to Oregon, where he got a warm welcome from Ingra & Arlene, their dogs, cats, and even Llama's. He's a very sweet, friendly, and active boy and oh so happy with his new family.

Just to show you what Fred's life is really all about: ARLENE! It was love at first sight and she's the center of his world.

And thus ends the first update of this year. May you all be as blessed as Fred to find unconditional love in the arms of someone with a warm heart and a willing spirit.
